When it comes to new United States Mint products that have been released since our report last month, perhaps the best descriptor is, “a little of this and a little of that.”
First up are bags and rolls of the American Innovation dollar for the state of Louisiana, honoring the Higgins boat. Sales began on April 10, and totals for the “P,” “D” and “S” product options can be found on the opposite page.
The 1-ounce gold Buffalo proof coin was released on April 3. Its sales through May 7 – the date of the latest Mint report – are at 23,000.
And finally, the silver Presidential medal honoring Abraham Lincoln was issued May 1. After a full week of sales, it is seeing a healthy total of 16,631. The last time a Presidential medal hit the 16,000-mark was the Andrew Jackson medal released back in 2020.
Soon-to-be-released products include the U.S. Coast Guard bronze medal, the 2023 Kennedy half dollar and the uncirculated 1-ounce silver American Eagle.
A big mover since our last report is the 2023 1-ounce “W” silver American Eagle proof coin. It saw an increase of 37,214 pieces sold for a new total of 400,152.
