Mint Statistics: 2019 Sets Continue To Be Collectors’ Choice

2019 sets continue to be where collectors are focused.Another 10,743 of the 2019 uncirculated 20-coin set sold since we last reported, bringing the overall total to 200,681.Proof sets are also a popular choice.The 2019 10-coin clad proof set increased by 6,480 and is now at 323,986 overall, while the 10-coin silver proof set gained 6,167 and is at 245,580. 

The Kennedy Half Dollar sets and bags showed modest decreases from last week, likely due to the Mint’s monthly sales reconciliations.

With the recent Memorial Day Observance and the 75th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, one would have expected to see bigger increases in the 2019 American Legion coins.A modest increase of 345 was noted on the Proof silver dollar and 1,054 on the proof coin and medal set.

With a turn of the page on the calendar, we’re reporting on the June bullion sales now.At the time of this report, just five days of sales have taken place and there’s nothing monumental to report there.A total of 5,500 gold bullion Eagles are reported with 223,500 for silver.

New this week is the 2019-W uncirculated silver Eagle. Released on May 29, first week sales are 82,144.The 2018 issue was released on May 24, 2018, so this time last year it had sold 94,462.Given the pace of sales, 2019 should be on track to meet or exceed 2018, but we will see.
