As of the Feb. 19 Sales and Production Report published by the U.S. Mint, the Apollo 11 half dollar set is close to selling out. The maximum mintage of 100,000 is nearly depleted, with the Mint reporting 99,440 already sold.
This week, the Mint began reporting sales of the 2019 Native American dollar bag and roll sets, which you’ll see have been added to that section. Comparing 2019 sales to the 2018 sales at this time last year, the 25-coin rolls and $100 bags are ahead of last year, while the $250 boxes are down about 20% to last year.
February bullion Eagle sales continued at a steady pace, with silver one-ounce sales increasing about 50% from last week. Obviously, February sales will be lower than January, when the coins were first issued. But looking back to 2018, this week’s number of 1,282,500 is a nice increase over the 942,500 reported last year.
Nothing to report yet on the 2019 American Legion coins, as those sales start on Mar. 14. Stay tuned for updates there.
