The Breast Cancer Awareness Coin and Stamp set put up its first number below. It is just 2,846. Mintage limit is 25,000. It does not seem likely that sale will reach the limit. The first few days of availability usually tell the tale. The set is priced at $39.95, and it consists of a commemorative clad half dollar and a stamp.

Bullion silver American Eagle sales might be showing signs of slowing down. Just 260,000 were sold since last week’s column was written. This is a far cry from a million a week that they have been running.

Interest has also faded in the San Francisco proof silver Eagle. Sales numbers for it and the West Point version basically rose in tandem. If it keeps this up, it will not close the gap with the “W.” The “W” total is 314,249, and the “S” total is 132,612.

Clad proof sets stepped ahead by 6,801 to hit 372,378. The silver set rose by 4,381 to reach 242,540.
