After a six-week hiatus, the U.S. Mint released updated sales numbers in an email to industry editors Dec. 17. The email indicated that the data was “the latest sales figures for numismatic products as of Dec. 16, 2019.” These updates are reflected here but note that the update does not include products dated before 2019.
While it was good news to receive the latest figures, the Mint indicated that the updates won’t become regular as of this writing on Dec. 19.
It said, “We expect to resume publication of the weekly sales report during January.”
We will continue to bring you the latest in Mint Statistics whenever updated numbers are available.
Of course, there is quite a change in numbers from the last update on Nov. 3. Best-sellers and their current sales totals in order of performance are as follows:
• 2019-S clad proof set: 547,364
• 2019-D American Innovation Reverse Proof dollar: 50,563 (newly added to chart)
• 2019-S silver proof set: 373,048
Other new listings include Frank Church River of No Return quarter products, New Jersey American Innovation dollar, Enhanced Reverse Proof American Innovation dollar, and Enhanced Reverse Proof silver American Eagle.
