Proof Set Strong Performer

When it comes to strong performers, the 2023 proof set is the star of the show. Since our last report about a month ago, it has gained 30,746 in sales for a total of 279,683. Other notable items are the 2023 proof silver Morgan dollar with an “S” mintmark that increased by 5,298 for a total of 311,009 and the 2023-W 1-ounce proof silver American Eagle coin that went up by 4,120 for a total of 428,709.

New to the charts are products that have been release by the U.S. Mint in the last month, and there have been quite a few.

First up is the 2023 silver proof set. It has garnered 279,683 in sales since it was released on Aug. 22.

Ahead of the holiday season, the Mint issued its now-annual American Women quarter ornaments featuring quarters that honor Bessie Coleman, Edith Kanaka’ole, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jovita Idar and Maria Tallchief. Sales are hovering around 1,000 for each one.

Bags and rolls of the American Innovation dollar featuring the state of Mississippi became available 8/28.

In the precious metals category, an uncirculated palladium American Eagle and a 1-ounce silver medal honoring the Marine Corps were issued in September.
