What’s New in NumisMaster: November 2024

November’s update on new entries, pricing, and images for the NumisMaster database.

As we gear up for the fourth quarter in NumisMaster, we are happy to say that 98 percent of our producing country's coins have been entered into the database. Over 6,700 coins have been added this year alone, with over 3,700 images, and we still have another quarter to go. Gone are the days of 2,500 coins minted a year. We are also excited to announce that the monthly "What's New in NumisMaster" will also be available to read in our Articles section of the database.

The Frost Dragon (KM# 767) is from the series “The Dragonology” from Mint XXI. Minted for the Republic of Cameroon, this 2024 coin has a 0.999 silver content, weighs 2oz, and has a diameter of 50mm. Its high relief and digital printing show the wonderful details of the coin, from the scales on the dragon to the dramatic blue coloring. The 2023 coin from this series was nominated for Coin of the Year this year.

At the beginning of September, we ran our quarterly metals updates, changing prices in gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. This update provides two things. First, it updates over 25,000 pricing fields and the melt prices of each coin on the website that consists of these metals. While the values for gold and silver bullion-based coins were being revised, we continued work on some special projects generated through our subscribers' observations. Twentieth-century Biafra and Serbia received thorough price revisions. Narrower areas of Canada, Switzerland, and Australia have accomplished work in modern and twentieth-century regions. Values for twenty-first-century Barbados, Colombia, Ivory Coast, and Mongolia got a boost, too. A rare Leprosarian token of Colombia achieved a stellar auction quote, as did an 1891 ultra rarity of the Netherlands. A fantastic grade rarity market developing in Bulgaria had its nineteenth and twentieth-century coins revised to eye-popping highs.

This Month’s Frequently Asked Question

This month, we received a couple of emails on coins from Saudi Arabia and how to locate them. For years, these coins could be found under United Kingdoms, and recently, for the ease of our members, we changed the country name on the website to Saudi Arabia. Additionally, we provided a very nice revision of all values in Saudi Arabia, making this a country you will want to check out this month. If you have any questions about coins or trying to locate them, please feel free to reach out to us at n@aimmedia.com.
