A larger location and longer duration are in store for the Central Alabama Coin Show.
The show is relocating to the new Clanton Conference and Performing Arts Center on the Chilton County Campus of Jefferson State University.
The 13,000-square-foot facility is located midway between the Birmingham and Montgomery metropolitan areas.
The show’s move comes after 12 years at the Pelham, Ala., Civic Complex.
In addition to a larger facility, the show will now expand to three days. Friday will be exclusively for dealers and Early Birds, and the show will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
“For the past 12 years this has been a great show. It has grown from a one-day show with 30 tables to a three-day show with nearly 80 tables,” said Carl Shory, bourse chairman. “This new location is conveniently located and ultra-modern with plenty of room to expand in the future.”
The next show is set for March 8-10. A fall show is planned for Sept. 20-22.
