The United States Mint has announced it will be hosting a quarter launch and coin exchange to commemorate the release of the 2019 Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness quarter.The quarter is the 50th coin to be released in the United States Mint’s America the Beautiful Quarters® Program.
The event takes place at Salmon Jr/Sr High School, located at 401 South Warpath, Salmon, Idaho. Beginning at 10:00 AM Mountain Time.
For the coin exchange, there is a one-roll ($10 minimum) with a 10-roll ($100 maximum).
The evening before the quarter launch and coin exchange, the Mint will host a coin forum from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sacajawea Center, located at 2700 Main Street in Salmon, Idaho.These coin forums are an excellent opportunity for the public to learn about upcoming United States Mint coin programs and initiatives and express their views about future coinage.
The Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho is made up of rugged mountains, deep canyons, and wild whitewater rivers, including the Main Salmon River and Middle Fork of the Salmon River. “Frank Church” was attached to the site’s name in honor of late U.S. Senator Frank Church, who played a leading role in its preservation. The area is the largest single connected wilderness in the contiguous States and contains four national forests.
The Mint will begin offering rolls and bags of the Frank Church River of No Return 2019 quarters through their online store on November 4.Find more information at www.usmint.gov.
