On Thursday, April 11, at 7:00 p.m., the Flint Flying Eagle Coin Club will host Thomas J. Uram, chair of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee, as speaker for its monthly meeting.
The event will take place at the Flushing Depot, 431 W. Main St., in Flushing, Mich. The public is welcome, and refreshments will be served.
CCAC was established by Congress in 2003 to advise the Secretary of the Treasury on the themes and designs of all U.S. coins and medals.
It serves as an informed, experienced, and impartial resource to the Secretary of the Treasury and represents the interests of American citizens and collectors.
The Flint Flying Eagle Coin Club is able to host Uram thanks to a grant from the Central States Numismatic Society.
