Columbian Exposition ticket souvenir sheet offered
A color printed souvenir card showing a general admission ticket for the 1893 Columbian Exposition held in Chicago was presented to members of the Chicago Coin Club attending a meeting Aug. 17 at the ANA World’s Fair of Money show in Rosemont, Ill.
A color printed souvenir card showing a general admission ticket for the 1893 Columbian Exposition held in Chicago was presented to members of the Chicago Coin Club attending a meeting Aug. 17 at the ANA World’s Fair of Money show in Rosemont, Ill.
American Banknote Company printed the tickets incorporating micro-printing and embedding small multi-colored paper discs into the paper.
The vignette shows a portrait of Abraham Lincoln.
Past President Jeffrey Rosinia created the souvenir sheet.
All remaining souvenir sheets will be sold at $5 each (plus $1 postage). Checks should be made payable to Chicago Coin Club, P.O. Box 2301, Chicago, IL 60690. Do not send cash.
