Back in 2017 when Dennis Rodman, famed basketball player of the NBA, visited North Korea to visit Kim Jong-un, he was gifted ten North Korean Coins. These very same coins will be on display at the ANA World's Fair of Money. Presenting the coins will be Rodman's friend and former NBA agent, Dwight Manley, who will be at the show Wednesday through Friday from 10am -5pm. The coins are graded by NGC and are encased in protective holders with a pedigree label that read "North Korea Gift to Dennis Rodman (June 2017).
The ten coins he was presented with was a set of 2011-dated brass 10 Won coins. The 10 Proof coins feature designs depicting North Korea's scenic Mount Kumgang Tourist region. He later gave the coins to Dwight Manley, a well-known numismatist, in which the library of the ANA is named in his honor.
Dennis Rodman is now been working on improving relations between the United States and North Korea, hence, why he visited the "reclusive" country back in 2017. He has since traveled to North Korea at least five times, often meeting with Kim.
