"Officially licensed and struck for the 128th American Numismatic Association's (ANA) Annual World's Fair of Money® held in Chicago, these commemorative Panda Proof issues will be released during the show."
These pieces were minted in Shanghai, China and, depending on the piece, are struck in .999 fine platinum, silver, or gold.
On the obverse the panda is holding the ANA seal. On the silver and platinum pieces, the seal has a special gold ink layered across it.
The reverse has a modified version of the 1893 Columbian Expo half dollar with the Museum of Science and Industry.
This special commemorative has a limited mintage and MCM/GovMint.com are the only distributors. Also, " this year’s ANA Show Panda series is the only one officially recognized and sanctioned by the American Numismatic Association for the 2019 World’s Fair of Money show."
Don't forget to pick one up at the Modern Coin Mart Table 1116 and 1118.
