Authorized by Public Law 117-163, this program honors the bicentennial of Harriet Tubman's birth with a series of coins that capture different facets of her remarkable life:
- $5 Gold Coins: Depicting Tubman in her later years, symbolizing her enduring legacy.
- $1 Silver Coins: Highlighting her courageous role as a conductor on the Underground Railroad.
- Half-Dollar Clad Coins: Celebrating her service during the Civil War.
Each coin is a work of art, reflecting the bravery and determination that defined Tubman's journey from enslavement to freedom and leadership.
Beyond their numismatic value, these coins support meaningful causes. Prices include surcharges—$35 for each $5 gold coin, $10 for each silver dollar, and $5 for each half-dollar. Proceeds will be distributed equally to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Harriet Tubman Home, Inc., in Auburn, New York, aiding their missions to preserve and promote Tubman's legacy.
