As of Oct. 18 modern coin companies Cornerstone Numismatics, formerly located on the Web at www.CornerstoneCoin.com, and ModernCoinMart, located on the Web at www.ModernCoinMart.com, have merged to become a more complete resource for collectors.
John Maben Rare Coins, Inc., the parent company to both of these subsidiaries, made the decision to merge them. The combined company will eventually be referred to only as ModernCoinMart, or MCM for short.
“By combining resources, I believe we will not only increase product selection but we will be able to better serve our customers,” said John Maben, president and CEO of John Maben Rare Coins, Inc.
ModernCoinMart is the world’s largest online numismatic specialty retailer, according to the firm. It says that, combined with Cornerstone Numismatics, no other modern coin dealer comes close in terms of selection.
“If you’ve ordered from us in the past, you already know that our service and prices are the envy of the business,” said Jay Rudo, JMRC partner and owner of Cornerstone Numismatics.
Amidst the merger, the staff of professionals from both companies remains unchanged.
“The customer service and expert level of numismatic knowledge the two subsidiaries possessed separately have simply been combined, making the new ModernCoinMart an even better choice for collectors,” Maben said.
