The one-ounce coin, minted at the West Point facility, has an uncirculated finish and contains .9995 palladium.

The obverse design features a high-relief likeness of “Winged Liberty” from the Mercury dime obverse designed by world-renowned designer Adolph A. Weinman. In keeping with the original coin design, inscriptions are “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “2023,” and Weinman’s distinct initials as an artist mark.

The reverse design features a high-relief version of the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal reverse, also by Weinman, which includes an eagle and a branch. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES of AMERICA,” “$25,” “1 OZ. Pd” (the chemical symbol for palladium), “.9995 FINE,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”

In 2017, the Mint introduced an American Eagle one-ounce palladium bullion coin, followed by a collector version palladium proof coin in 2018 and a reverse-proof coin in 2019.

In 2020, for the first time, the Mint offered the one-ounce uncirculated version of the coin, and it returns again this year for collectors. Its mintage limit is set at 6,000, and the household order limit is 10.

Orders can be placed online at the U.S. Mint website.
