New Coin Features Asian Mythology

A new coin, Zhong Kui, released by NumisCollect on behalf of Cook Islands, is the first coin in the new Asian Mythology series. This Smartminted® .999 silver coin has a weight of 3 ounces and a diameter of 50 mm. Its face value is $20 and has an antique finish.

The reverse of the coin features the Chinese deity, Zhong Kui, who is regarded as a vanquisher of ghosts and evil beings. His image is often painted on household gates as a guardian spirit. He is featured in startling red at center, ready to vanquish the demons.

The obverse features the effigy of her Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions, "ELIZABETH II," "20 DOLLARS," "COOK ISLAND," AND "2019."
