The Perth Mint has made it through nearly every family member in the Simpson family with their Simpsons Coin Series, except one. Who could forget Maggie? Not them, that's for sure. Also, at the time of this writing, the first four coins in the Simpson Coin Series have sold out!
The Perth Mint released the new Maggie Simpson coin this November with a limited mintage of 5,000.
As with the other silver coins in the Simpsons series, the coin's obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II along with the monetary denomination, weight, fineness, and the 2019 year-date.
The reverse features Maggie in full color lying on the family living room floor with the Simpson's family pets, Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II. The Perth Mint's "P" mintmark is also featured to the right of the couch along with Matt Groening's signature.
The coin is presented in a clear acrylic case that allows both sides to be displayed and packaged in a Simpsons themed box. It is also accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
