Dealer Frank S. Robinson will conduct his 104th mail and internet auction of Ancient and Early Coins with a closing date of March 27. The sale will include 538 lots, with minimum bids set extremely low, and with bids to be reduced as competition permits. Robinson notes that reductions have averaged 15-25 percent in his recent sales.
Featured in this sale is Robinson’s lifetime personal collection of ancient and early Indian coins.
Noteworthy among Greek coins in the sale are an EF Amphipolis tetradrachm; a classic Athenian “Owl” tetradrachm graded AEF/VF+; a choice stater of Kelenderis; a Persian gold daric in F-VF; an AVF fine style Thasos stater with erotic motif; and good run of Parthian coins.
