The role of Spanish General Bernardo de Galvez and the Texas Longhorns in the American Revolution is the theme of the Texas Numismatic Association’s 2012 convention medal, to be released May 18.
The obverse features General de Galvez, the Spanish Burgundy flag and a Texas Longhorn.
The reverse of the medal shows the official seal of the Texas Numismatic Association.
The medal was designed by TNA Medals Officer Frank Galindo of San Antonio.
Orders may be placed for single bronze medals, or a set of one silver medal and one bronze medal. To place an order, contact Galindo via email at karfra1@netzero.net, or by mail at P.O. Box 12217, San Antonio, TX 78212-0217.
Single bronze medals cost $5.50 including postage. Medal sets are $50 per set plus $4 per set for postage and handling.
If insurance is requested, there is an additional cost of $2 per set.

The TNA Convention is slated for May 18-20 in Fort Worth. Medals will be mailed after the show.
