If you collect official inaugural medals and want something other than the bronze version of the Barack Obama-Joe Biden issues for the 2013 inauguration, you might be in for sticker shock.

A 2.75-inch bronze medal has a $50 retail price while the same size in .999 fine silver is $1,250. A three-piece serially numbered set that includes a .583 fine 1.25-inch gold medal is $7,500.
