Leading advances this week was the 14-coin 2007 clad proof set, up 86,696 sets or about 17 percent. The four-coin Presidential proof set was up more than 25,000 sets, but that?s an increase of less than three percent.
Advances were light in most areas. Perhaps collectors are saving up for the Mint?s holiday catalog, as we?re about a month away from the normal mail drop date for that annual treat. The eagerly awaited American Legacy Set should hit the streets around then.
July bullion American Eagle and bullion Buffalo sales numbers showed no change from last week?s report. Apparently not much happened in the final days of the month. I moved the box on to follow August figures.
