The middle of June saw the Mint release a photograph of the 2016 proof platinum $100 coin that is slated to go on sale June 30.

A fairly large “W” mintmark appears at the lower right on the 2016 proof platinum coin.

Mintage will be limited to a maximum of 10,000. There will be a household order limit of one.

The coin is the final one in a two-year Torches of Liberty series.

It will be struck at the West Point Mint and have a “W” mintmark.

No price was available at press time.

In 2015, only 3,886 of the first coin in the series, were sold.
