Greer inducted into Hall of Fame

Dealer and collector Brian Greer was inducted into the Liberty Seated Collectors Club Hall of Fame at the club’s annual meeting held during the American Numismatic Association’s August World’s Fair of Money in Philadelphia.

Dealer and collector Brian Greer was inducted into the Liberty Seated Collectors Club Hall of Fame at the club’s annual meeting held during the American Numismatic Association’s August World’s Fair of Money in Philadelphia.

Greer was honored for his contributions to Seated Liberty coinage research and literature and the advancement of collector enthusiasm, according to the club.

He is the fifth person inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining club president John McCloskey, founder Kam Ahwash and half dime scholars Al Blythe and Randy Wiley.

The Hall of Fame Committee selected Greer from a group of nine nominated club members.

To be considered, an LSCC member must have been a member for 10 years, made significant advances in numismatic research or numismatic literature, built a significant collection of Seated Liberty coinage, or have been a club officer for at least five years.
