Lighthouse series launched

An “Historic Lighthouses of Hawaii” set of elongated copper cents is now available from Michael Mochizuki.

An “Historic Lighthouses of Hawaii” set of elongated copper cents is now available from Michael Mochizuki.

This new series of elongated coins is dedicated to the lighthouses that have helped to guide generations of mariners and to the men and women of the United States Coast Guard, who are the keepers of these structures. This set is the first of three planned for the series, according to Mochizuki.

Featured in the set are Diamond Head Lighthouse of Oahu, Kawaihae Lighthouse of the big island of Hawaii, Kalaupapa Lighthouse of Molokai and Barbers Point Lighthouse of Oahu.

It is true, United States tokens prove big things do come in small packages!

Cost is $8 per set including postage to U.S. addresses. Each set includes a brochure of historical information on the structures.

For more details or to order, write Mochizuki at P.O. Box 512, Aiea, HI 96701-0512, or email mmochizuki@hawaii.rr.com.
