On Oct. 22, the Nebraska Numismatic Association held its annual meeting and banquet. The event was attended by 30 members and guests. Durham Museum curator Carrie Wieners gave a presentation on “The Books, Manuscripts and Documents of the Byron Reed Collection,” which looked at the collection of coins, books and other items amassed by Omaha local Byron Reed, who donated it to the city of Omaha upon his death in 1891.

At the end of her presentation, Wieners received the Nebraska Numismatic Association’s Numismatic Ambassador Award from Mitch Ernst, NNA and OCC president.
