A new online website for buying and selling coins called GreatCollections.com will be launched in late 2010 by Ian Russell, the former chief operating officer of Spectrum Group International, the parent company of Teletrade and Bowers and Merena.
However, before it goes live, Russell is offering the first 1,000 collectors and dealers who register lifelong benefits, such as discounts and exclusive services on the website.
“If you collect coins, own coins or trade coins, I recommend you register and become a Foundation Member of GreatCollections,” said Russell. “It’s free and will ensure you are notified about the company’s progress over the next few months.”
GreatCollections.com plans to offer superior technology and service, while offering a great selection of certified coins.
“I’m sure collectors and dealers will love using our company,” Russell said.
Another service GreatCollections will immediately begin offering is confidential bidding at all major live auctions within the United States, Russell said.
