Small gains made awaiting sales resumption

In a way, this week was holding its breath. Sales resumed Oct. 15 for gold American Eagles, and also for the proof American Buffalo gold, with new prices assigned by the Mint, but this was too recent a development to be reflected in this week?s numbers. Next week we should see the initial response to the new prices. Regular bullion Eagles did move some.

New this week is a debut number for the 2007 uncirculated coin set.

Two on-sale dates are coming up for Mint products: Utah quarter bags and rolls are scheduled to go on sale Nov. 5, and James Madison Presidential dollar bags and rolls are scheduled to become available Nov. 15.
