The respondents’ answers to the January 24, 2025, Numismatic News E-Newsletter Readers’ Poll vary widely.

I would have the American flag on the reverse and the Statue of Liberty on the obverse. Also, the word PEACE under the flag!

I guess I will take a cue from Teddy Roosevelt, who preferred the classic Greek coinage; hence, we get the timeless designs of St. Gaudens’s $20 and $10. Anything that harkens back to designs like that, I applaud.

I have contemplated this question upon myself:

If I had influence with POTUS, I would first encourage a special project that would offer pre-sale orders of rolls of every U.S. coin denomination, yet with one gold coin, but sustaining the ideal weight in every 100-coin roll. The special design would apply "The Flying Eagle" cent soaring image on the obverse and a modern "Shield" on the reverse.

Well, if I make a coin, I will combine it with civilization and the ancient past, both of which have elegant and attractive appearances and shapes.

Native American depictions are always popular. Mine would include a native critter like a grizzly or mountain lion. How about changing the portraiture of the existing presidents and taking the time to ditch the Kennedy half design and use that size coin to start making overdue changes?
