Cody Regennitter of Iowa reeled in this absolutely gorgeous number 1 brown back from Lyons, Iowa. It is the second note reported from the bank, the other being another $10 82BB (f-vf serial 836-A) in the Higgins Museum.

Only 1,307 sheets of 10-10-10-20 82BBs were issued from the bank during its nine-year life before it was liquidated upon being consolidated with The First National Bank, charter 2733, on June 11, 1900.

As you might expect, Cody is over-the-top excited about the note and has been flashing it around whenever possible. Cody recently was appointed to the board of governors of the Society of Paper Money Collectors. Previously, he served as a grader at PCGS for a couple of years, where a highlight was grading and attributing the Eric Newman material.
