Legend Rare Coin Auctions Presents Regency Auction 34 on September 26 in Las Vegas

As always, one never knows how the auction is going to look until after it is all put together, though, prior to the consignment deadline, Legend Rare Coins is already thrilled with the coins consigned, and with the ANA show and the consignment deadline, the final offering is one for the history books. They know that there will be coins for all sorts of collectors, from type coin generalists to dedicated die variety specialists, and collectors will find something to add to their collections in this auction.

Spread throughout the sale are select type coins from THE TYPE SET, the finest ever, assembled by Oliver Jung. Legend Rare Coins is also proud to offer an extensive offering of Lincoln Cent varieties in the Hanover Collection. A GEM set of Proof Liberty nickels, the Meridan Collection, has superb examples mostly with cameo contrast and CAC approval. Many other important consignments have been put into the sale, from collectors and dealers, both large and small. Attention should be paid to the silver dollar section, as there are amazing early, Seated, Trade, and Morgan dollars that will delight any collector. Twentieth Century condition rarities abound as well.

Lot 5. 1C 1856 Flying Eagle. PCGS PR66 CAC. Using a strong glass, the auctioneer is unable to locate a single mark, tick, line of fleck anywhere. Estimate $60,000+.

Lot 52. 1C 1944-D/S PCGS MS67 RD CAC. This is the main, Red Book-listed over mintmark variety with the errant S mintmark peeking out from above the loop of the D. Estimate $35,000+.

Lot 215. 10C 1939-D PCGS MS69 FB CAC. While not a rare date, the sheer perfection of this coin ranks it as the king of Mercury dimes. Estimate $30,000+.

Lot 240. 25C 1916 STANDING LIBERTY. PCGS MS67 FH. One of the finest known examples of this 20th Century rarity. Estimate $130,000+.

Lot 331. $1 1795 3 LEAVES. PCGS MS64 CAC. Boasting superb numismatic quality, this coin also has the most famous provenance in American numismatics: Louis Eliasberg. Estimate $300,000+.

Lot 407. $1 1889-CC PCGS MS63+ PL CAC. A major key Morgan dollar and one of the rarest in Mint State Grades, this lot is estimated to sell for $45,000+.

Lot 468. $2.50 1883 PCGS PR66+ DCAM CAC. Of the 82 Proofs originally minted, it is estimated that perhaps 30-35 are known in all grades, with this example being the single finest, graded at PCGS in the DCAM designation. Estimate $40,000+.

Lot 478. $5 1823 PCGS MS63+ CAC. Stiff bidding is expected to be seen on this lot, which carries an estimate of $67,500+.
