Does adding a stamp make Breast Cancer half dollar set more valuable?
Here are some answers sent from our e-newsletter readers to Editor Dave Harper.
I have a sneaking suspicion that it will, not so much because of the added stamp but because of the low number of sets being made available. That said, I hope not, because if it does, we will see all kinds of combination offers like this in the future.
No matter what happens to this set’s value, I generally don’t purchase coins or other merchandise just because a small donation is made to a given charity with each purchase. If it’s a worthy cause, I will consider donating to it directly.

No, it does NOT increase the value of the set to add a stamp!

Adding a stamp with a coin purchase is not the way to a coin collector’s heart.

Only if the coin and stamp are limited in their numbers!

Nothing could make this coin worth anything.

By increasing the cost of the set $7 with the addition of a semi-postal stamp, I don’t believe this will increase sales of the stagnant set the remainder of 2018.

I suppose it would to those who collect both coin and stamps. Otherwise, no.

I don’t think so. I’m not buying that at all.

The BC C&S set does not interest me. The Mint would have needed to put a limited edition coin in the set. Even with the same design as on the other coins, the Mint could have done an enhanced or reverse proof finish, and the special coin would have sold!

Perhaps this is a good thing An addition of the dime (to the half dollar) is a good idea. I do think this will add value (as a set) to the item of origin. I can be wrong, but only one-third the time. With this percentage, I can very well be right. I do hope I am!

Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, there is no dime added to the set.
