When China opened it's doors in 1971, Jack Mamiye was on the first flight there. At the PEACE hotel in Beijing, Jack bid on a Chinese art collection which turned out to be a great fortune. Jack and his family expanded their Oriental art business established in the 1920's; they have been building his collection ever since.
